Closed Meeting Investigator

As Closed Meeting Investigator, investigates in an independent manner a complaint made by any person whether or not a municipality or local board has complied with Section 239 of the Municipal Act or a procedural by-law under Section 238(2) of the Act respecting a meeting or part of a meeting that was closed to the public.

Integrity Commissioner

As Integrity Commissioner (Municipal Act Section 223.1), investigates on a complaint basis the application of a Council’s Code of Conduct, procedures, rules and policies governing the ethical behaviour of members of council, its local boards and committees.

Municipal Ombudsman

As Municipal Ombudsman (Municipal Act Section 223.13), investigates any decisions or recommendations made or act done or omitted in the course of the administration of the appointing municipality, its local boards and specified municipally-controlled corporations.
